Rounded Corners
Give photos rounded corners and export transparent PNGs. Live radius slider, batch mode.
Rounded corners, transparent background
Upload an image, drag the radius slider, and the tool draws your picture inside a rounded rectangle, exporting a PNG with a transparent outside area. Perfect for avatars, app icons, product cards and blog thumbnails that sit on coloured backgrounds.
Why transparent PNG matters
If you exported a rounded JPG, the corners would be filled with a solid colour that clashes with whatever background you place the image on. PNG keeps the corner area fully transparent, so the image blends into any page, slide or card.
How to use
1. Drop one or more images.
2. Drag "corner radius" — 6–14% looks natural for avatars, up to 50% (a full circle on a square image) for avatar-style results.
3. Download the transparent PNG. Each change re-generates instantly.
Details
- Radius is a percentage of the shorter side, so portrait and landscape images round consistently.
- Output is always PNG (transparency required). Files are large? Combine with [Compress Image](/tool/compress-image) or convert to [WebP](/tool/png-to-webp).
- Processed locally in your browser: no upload, no watermark, 30 MB per file.
FAQ
Are the corners really transparent?
Yes — the output is a PNG with an alpha channel, so the area outside the rounded rectangle is fully transparent.
Can I get a perfect circle?
Use a square image and set the radius to 50%. Non-square images become a rounded rectangle (a "pill").
Does it work on many files?
Yes, drop a batch and every image gets the same radius with its own download link.
